Let's Work Together

So you may be wondering, what will coaching sessions look like for you?

Below is an overview of some of the ways in which I work.

All of these approaches are flexible and will be tailored to your individual needs and preferences.

Free Discovery Session

Before you decide to commit to anything, I'd love you to join me for a free “Discovery Session”.

This is a 30-minute session to meet and get to know each other a little, identify potential goals for coaching, what sort of approach might work best and ensure  we are both happy that coaching is the best approach for you.

At the end of this session there will never be any pressure to sign up to paid sessions if it doesn’t feel comfortable to you. Coaching is a relationship and it’s important that it feels right for us both.

Once we agree session dates and costs, a contract will be sent via email which will need to be signed prior to the first session.

Payment is required at time of booking via Bank Transfer.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a session are non-refundable.

Specific Goals

For those with a very specific goal in mind, we will first spend time exploring that goal, looking at what you’ve tried in the past, what the possible options and obstacles are, before finally agreeing an action plan to move forward with between the sessions.

In subsequent sessions we will then explore what has worked so far and what  still needs working on to achieve your overall goal.

Strengths coaching

For some clients it is useful to complete a short and simple Character Strengths Assessment questionnaire and we can use this to guide our conversations in the session.

This can be particularly helpful for people suffering with anxiety, low self-esteem, low confidence etc.

Positive
psychology
interventions

I often provide clients with pieces of short homework related to the topics we have discussed and relevant Positive Psychology Interventions (PPIs).

These things might be practicing gratitude, showing kindness, focusing on your hopes and dreams, or using your strengths in a different way.

These are simple research-based activities that have been proven to improve wellbeing.

Homework

Doing some homework between sessions is important as this will help you to get the most out of coaching, and you can always expect to leave each session with some action points.

However my approach is very much “less is more” so I will never ask you to commit to any task or activity that feels unachievable.
